Sunday 3rd Nov: March for Clean Water
There’s still time to join us on Sunday 3rd November and let the government know that we want commitment and investment to solve the sewage crisis on the Ver and of course, more widely. The March for Clean Water is supported by many national charities but most aren’t organising any formal trips or transport.
If you are a local member of Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, RSPB, The WI, Angling Trust, The Woodland Trust, National Trust or one of the many other supporting groups, come and meet up with us at 9.30am on Sunday 3rd November at St Albans City station. Join our band of environment and wildlife supporters for a photocall and journey into London with like-minded marchers. If you can, please bring a banner supporting the River Ver or your favourite charity!
Wear Blue! It’ll help form a mass human river as we all march in central London. Let’s #FloodTheStreets and demand the new government STOPS the poisoning of Britain’s waters!
Our wildlife needs it local chalk stream to be clear and clean. Brown trout can’t live in sewage and kingfishers can’t survive the winter with no fish. Around the country other rivers and lakes are suffering from terrible pollution, to have any chance of success we have to keep the pressure on.
