Work Parties 2019

Make a date to join up with our Action Group in early 2019. We’ll be out on the River Ver each month improving the river habitat and the bankside environment.

Sat 19th January 2019 10am – 12noon. First up we’ll be at Sopwell Nunnery Green, St Albans pruning trees and bushes along the river and cutting back fallen trees and removing obstructions in the river.

Sat 16th February 2019 10am – 12noon.  We are going back to Sopwell Nunnery Green, St Albans. There’s plenty more work to do: tree pruning, along the path, fence repair to complete, more obstructions to remove in the river and cans & bottle to fish out. Existing members and new faces always welcome! You don’t need waders, tools are provided.

Saturday 16th March 2019 10am-12noon. Drop Lane, St Albans AL2 3TX. Tasks include pollarding willows and collecting stakes and faggots to reuse as flow deflectors in the river later in the year.
