Ver Valley Walk

We are hosting the Chiltern Society on a short walk from Redbournbury Mill to St Albans. There are 10 places reserved for Ver Valley Society Members. Please BOOK YOUR PLACE by emailing johnp@riverver.co.uk

This walk is intended to give the members of the Chiltern Society a glimpse of our chalk stream and the challenges it faces. We’ll take look at the state of the River Ver, discuss the highlights and lowlights of the middle reaches of the river and enjoy the scenery and cultural interest along the way. John Pritchard will be our guide for the morning so there’s sure to be a few birds and other wildlife pointed out as we make our way downstream.

Please meet at Verulamium Car park and we’ll take the minimum of cars to Redbournbury Mill where the Mill team have kindly reserved a few parking spaces and we will begin the walk. (The Mill is open selling bread and cakes, so please show your support and make a purchase or two!)
